When creating a Blast, you can alter email setting options inside Blast Editor. The Email Settings allow you to change defaults for a specific Blast without applying them to others.

To access these settings, open the Blast Editor, click the three vertical dots to the right of Exit, and click Email Settings.

Learn more about your Cerkl Instance's global default settings: Blast Controls.

Below are the email setting options that you have for individual Blasts.

Font Family

You can set the default font for the Text Elements you use in a Blast. The font options available in the drop-down are fonts that we know all email clients will render correctly.

Private

When Private is toggled on, the Blast is only accessible by the Blast creator and the Administrators of your Instance (inside both Blasts and Insights).

To learn more, go to Private Blasts.

Please Note: This option is only available for Internal Organizations. External Organizations do not have access.

Suppress Auto Replies

If your email is getting packed with Out-of-Office replies and other automatic replies in response to your Blasts, you have the option to suppress auto-replies.

When Suppress Auto Replies is toggled on, Broadcast will include a message header that attempts to stop email clients, such as Microsoft Outlook, from sending back auto-responses to the sender of a Blast.

Footer Options

Underneath the Footer Options header, you may see the following options that you can toggle on/off for your Blast: Append Organization Footer, Display Profile Image, Display Social Links.

When it comes to editing your footer, External and Internal Organizations have different options:

Both Internal and External

Turn Display Profile Image and Display Social Links on/off in the footer of the Blast.

Internal Organizations

Turn the footer in the Blast on/off (Append Organization Footer). The company owns all the emails they are communicating to.

External Organizations

They do not have the option to turn the footer in a Blast on/off because the information in the footer is required by law for external accounts sending to email addresses they don't own.

Full Width Email

Full Width Email will format your Blast to look as if it were sent in Gmail or Outlook.

Toggling Full Width Email on means your Blast's text, images, and signature will span the full width of the email instead of being placed in the center of it.

To learn more, go to Full Width Blasts.

Please Note: This option is only available for Internal Organizations. External Organizations do not have access.

Personalization Field Fallbacks

Personalization Field fallbacks is used as default information in personalization fields when a Subscriber does not have valid account information.

Below is an example of why it is important to set fallback personalization fields.

First Name

Last Name

Email Address

Sheri

Anderson

Hunter

(none)

We are sending a Blast with the subject line: "We have some important news for you, *|FULLNAME|*."

The First Subscriber Above
Will receive the subject line: "We have some important news for you, Sheri Anderson"

Every Subscriber with a first and last name in their account information will have their full name in the subject line of the Blast they receive.

The Second Subscriber Above

Will receive the subject line: "We have some important news for you, "

Every Subscriber without a first and last name in their account information will have a blank space where *|FULLNAME|* would be in their subject line.

Make sure you click Save Changes after making any updates to the Email Settings.
