When you are editing an Element inside your Blast, there is an Element and Layout tab on the right side of your screen. In this article, we are going to cover the options in the Layout tab for the Elements inside of the Blast Editor.

In this article, multiple Elements are grouped together because there are many layout options that overlap for each Element. Below, this article will start with the layout options that all Elements have and then move into more specific Element layout options.

All of these layout options will be explained in this article: Container Style, Alignment, Image Options, Button Style, Text Style, Divider Style.

ALL of the Elements inside the Blast Editor have a Container section under the Layout tab.

The Element’s container is the box highlighted in blue around your Element that you can see if you click on the Element. In the Container section of the Layout tab, you can change the following things:

  • Background Color: Allows you to set the container’s background color. You can use the color picker to select one of your organization's default colors or input a hex code for a color of your choice.

  • Top/Bottom: Allows you to set the top and bottom margins of the container by using the plus and minus buttons.

  • Left/Right: Allows you to set the left and right margins of the container by using the plus and minus buttons.

Almost all of the Elements (except the Divider) inside the Blast Editor have an Alignment section under the Layout tab with some type of alignment ability: Text, Image, Video, Button, Social Links, Signature, Image + Text, Text + Button, Image + Button, and Image + Text + Button.

When it comes to alignment, you have the option to align Elements vertically and horizontally.

  • Top: Top alignment allows you to move your content to the top, center, or bottom of the container.

  • Center: Center alignment allows you to move your content to the left, center, or right side of the container.

These Elements have an Image Options section inside their Layout tab: Image, Video, Signature, Image + Text, Image + Button, and Image + Text + Button.

In the Image Options section of the Layout tab, you can change the following options:

  • Image Width: You can use the slider to select how wide you would like your image to be.

Please Note: Images that are not 100% width might look different in the Blast if it is viewed on a mobile device. This is due to the smaller screen size and condensed format of the Blast. For this reason, we recommend turning Full width on mobile ON, previewing the Blast, and sending samples.

  • Full width on mobile: This feature keeps your images at full width when viewed on a mobile device, even if the image width inside of the Blast Editor is set to a percentage less than that.

These Elements have a Button Style section inside their Layout tab: Button, Text + Button, Image + Button, and Image + Text + Button.

In the Button Style section of the Layout tab, you can change the following options:

  • Button Color: You can change the color of the button by using the color picker to select one of your default organizational colors or you can input a hex code for a color of your choice.

  • Button Text Color: You can change the color of the button text by using the color picker to select one of your default organizational colors or you can input a hex code for a color of your choice.

  • Top/Bottom: You have the option to control the height of the button using the plus and minus buttons.

  • Left/Right: You have the ability to control the width of the button using the plus and minus buttons.

  • Rounded Corners: Here you can choose how round the corners of your button are inside of your Blast. You can do this by using the plus and minus buttons to determine if you want the corners to be square or rounded. Please Note: Rounded corners on buttons will not show up inside of Outlook. This is due to how they interpret the HTML code inside of emails and how they style their text.

Only the Signature Element has a Text Style section inside the Layout tab.

In the Text Style section of the Layout tab, you can change the text color of your signature.

  • Text Color: You can change the color of the text used in the signature by using the color picker to select one of your default organizational colors or you can input a hex code for a color of your choice.

Only the Divider Element has a Divider Style section inside the Layout tab.

In the Divider Style section of the Layout tab, you can choose what the divider will look like:

  • Use Line: This gives you the option to select if a line will appear inside of the divider. If you choose to use a line, you will have the following two option:

    • Thickness: The plus and minus buttons allow you to select the thickness of the line inside of the divider.

    • Line color: You can change the color of the line inside the divider by using the color picker to select one of your default organizational colors or you can input a hex code for a color of your choice.
