Inside the Blast Insights pages, you will see both unique and total metrics.

  • For unique metrics, ONLY the first action is counted.

  • For total metrics, ALL actions are counted.

We offer both types of metrics because we want to account for inconsistencies in your metrics. Having both the unique and total metrics can give you a more realistic idea of your Subscribers' engagement.

Below are the two different unique and total metrics you will see inside your Blast Insights, along with their definitions.

Open Insights

Opens

The total number of times a Blast was opened.

EX: If Subscriber "A" opened your Blast 5 times and Subscriber "B" opened your Blast 3 times, your total opens for this Blast would be 8.

Unique Opens

Counts ONLY the first time a Subscriber opens a Blast.

EX: If Subscriber "A" opened your Blast 5 times and Subscriber "B" opened your Blast 3 times, your unique opens would be 2 since both Subscribers opened the Blast.

Click Insights

Clicks

The number of times a Subscriber clicks inside of a Blast.

EX: If Subscriber "A" clicks on the link in your Blast 4 times and Subscriber "B" clicks on the link in your Blast 3 times, your total clicks for this Blast would be 7.

Unique Clicks

Counts ONLY the first time a Subscriber clicks on anything within a Blast.

EX: If Subscriber "A" clicks on the link in your Blast 4 times and Subscriber "B" clicks on the link in your Blast 3 times, your unique clicks would be 2 since both Subscribers clicked on the link inside the Blast.
