News Digest Settings, Promotions inside of the News Digest, How to add promotions to the News Digest

Promotions are used inside of your News Digest to promote or call out specific things that you want your whole audience to see. While enabled, promotions are included in every News Digest, too all subscribers.

A promotion consists of two parts: The Promotion Image and an optional Promotion Link. Your promotion can be placed in three areas of your News Digest: Top, middle, and bottom.

Adding a Promotion

To add a promotion to your News Digest, go to Settings > Email News Digest, then scroll down to Add Promotions.

  1. Click Upload Image and select an image from your computer. Please Note: The max file size for the image is 300KB and we recommend that it be 600 pixels wide.

  2. To adjust the image to fill the whole width, you can resize and crop by hovering your cursor over the image and clicking the crop icon that appears on the top right.

    When cropped, GIFs will lose their animation feature.
    ​

  3. Click Submit when you're finished adjusting the size.
    ​

  4. (Optional) Enter a URL for a link in the space provided under Link to Promotion Site.

  5. Use the drop-down list under Position in News Digest to choose the placement of your Promotion inside the News Digests: Top, Middle, or Bottom.
    ​

  6. Click Save when you're finished.

After clicking Save, you can see the Promotion you created underneath one of these headers: Top of Digest, Middle of Digest, or Bottom of Digest (according to the position you selected).

Promotion Actions

Below are the different promotion actions:

Turn the Promotion On/Off

To turn a promotion on or off, use the toggle button above the promotion image.

Move the Promotion Position

There are two ways to move the promotion placement.

  1. Use the Position on News Digest drop-down to choose a different placement.

  2. If you want to reorder promotions within the SAME POSITION, click the stacked three-bar icon to the left of the image and drag and drop the promotion above or below the other promotion.

Edit the Promotion Link

Update the Promotion Link at anytime.

Delete the Promotion

Click the red trashcan icon to delete a promotion. If you click this icon, you will see a confirmation pop-up modal, and you will need to click Delete before the action is completed.

You cannot restrict promotions to a specific Segment. All Audience Members who are opted into News Digests will receive them inside of their News Digest (as long as the promotion is live).
