Audience Reach

The number of Subscribers with implicit or explicit interest in the Category.

Interest Level

Subscribers demonstrate interest by selecting Categories in the personalization process and by clicking on a piece of Content.

Interest Level is then calculated based on relative averages when comparing the interest level of one Category to another. The three possible interest levels are:

  • Above Average: Any Category ABOVE one standard deviation of the mean of all Category interest levels.

  • Average: Any Category WITHIN one standard deviation of the mean of all Category interest levels.

  • Below Average: Any Category BELOW one standard deviation of the mean of all Category interest levels.

Percent of Audience

The percentage of Audience Members that have implicit or explicit interest in the Category.

Percent of Audience = (Audience Reach / Total Subscribers) * 100.

EX: If there are 800 total Subscribers and 200 of them have weighted interest in “Best Practices” as a Category, the percent of Audience Members interested in “Best Practices” would be 25%.
