The Share a Link feature allows you to automatically pull in specific Stories from an external source using URLs. This is a great alternative to creating a piece of Content and useful for organizations which have multiple sources of news and information.

To share a link, go to Content, then click on the Share a Link icon (yellow icon located in the left hand menu). Paste the URL in the box under Article URL. Cerkl will automatically generate the article's Title, Subtitle & Summary, and Story Image based off of the information inside the article.

The information pulled in from the link is not final. Make sure to update your Publish, Circulation, and Expiration dates, and configure your Distribution Settings.

If your URL does not generate content automatically, or does not pull in exactly what you expect, you can edit all the information that is automatically brought in when inside of the Story Editor, including setting a new title or Story Image.

To learn more about what options are available, please review: How to Create/Edit A Story.

Please note: Cerkl is limited in it's ability to provide support third-party hosted links if you receive an error. Web Server security configurations may prevent you from using the link and we are unable to bypass these security settings.

Link Tracking

If you would like to track who clicks on the link, you can Toggle Link Tracking on using the toggle above your link. You can then use these Insights to see the number of Subscribers that clicked on the link.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@cerkl.com or use the support Chat toward the bottom right-hand corner of any cerkl.com page.
