With Blast Language Translations, you can automatically generate duplicate Blasts that are translated, ready to review, and send.

Duplicate and Translate a Blast

After creating a translated Blast you won't be able to make synchronized automatically translated updates from the original. We recommend using the Duplicate and Translate feature after your original Blast and is in a ready to send state - Independent manual updates are still available after translating.

To begin creating a new Translated Blast from a Blast Draft, click the ⋮ Ellipsis button while in the Blast editor, then select Duplicate and Translate.

From the Duplicate and Translate menu, select the Translate From and Translate To language options for your current Blast and the new duplicated Blast.

When you’re ready to translate, click Confirm. Once the translation is complete, a new Blast will automatically be created and saved as a Draft with an updated name, including the language selected.

While only one translation can be created at a time, you can create multiple translations from the same Blast Draft. Blasts which originated as a translation cannot be translated.

Review the Translation

Broadcast uses Google Cloud’s Translation API to translate Blast text to other languages. We strongly recommend that native speakers validate and refine these translations before sending.

The following types of Text will be translated and available for review:

  • Text Elements

  • Subject Line

  • Preview Text

  • Image Alt-Text

  • Button Text

  • Acknowledgement Confirmation Page

Note: Personalization Fields will not be translated inside a Blast since they are based on audience Attributes.

After confirming the translated text meets your needs, you can continue to work and make changes to the Blast, or prepare to send it to your audience. Each Blast Draft will need to be sent independently. For more information sending, please review: Sending a Blast.
