If you want to save a Blast as a Template for use in future communications, you're in luck! You can save previously sent Blasts and drafted Blasts as Templates.

To save a Blast as a Template, you need to open it in the Blast Editor. To save a sent Blast as a Template:

  1. Go to Blasts > Sent.

  2. Filter to or search for the Blast you want to save as a Template.

  3. Click the Ellipsis Menu button.

  4. Click Duplicate Blast.

  5. Once the Blast Editor opens, follow the steps below for Option 1 or Option 2.

By default, Templates are saved as Globally available to your entire Team. When creating Templates from a Blast, the Manage Access menu is not available. Don't worry though - after saving your Template, simply go to Blasts > Templates to Manage Access from the Template Actions menu or Edit the Template from this menu for the Manage Access options to be available in the editor.

Learn more about these options by reviewing: Blast Templates.

Saving a Blast as a Template

From the Blast editor there are two ways to save a Blast as a Template.

Option 1

  1. Click the ⋮ Ellipsis Menu (three vertical dots) next to Exit.

  2. Click Save as Template.

  3. Name your template, then click Save Template.

Option 2

  1. Click on the Schedule or Send tab (located on the right side of your screen).

  2. Click Save as Template.

  3. Name your template, then click Save Template.

Only Elements and Email Settings will be saved. If there was sending info, attachments, or audience data selected, it will not be used in the Template. If there was a Custom Time Zone in the Blast draft, it will also not be used in the Template.
