If you want to change the Audience Members that are in a Dynamic Segment, you will need to edit the rule sets in that Segment so they sync the correct Subscribers.

To start editing a Dynamic Segment, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Audience > Segments.

  2. Sort the Segments table or use the search bar to find the Dynamic Segment you want to edit.

  3. Open the Segment editor. You can do this in two different ways:

    1. Click on the Segment's name, then click the Edit Segment button.

    2. Click the ⋮ Ellipsis button by the Segment name, then click Edit.

  4. From the Segment Editor you can: add, remove, or change the rules and rule sets to adjust who is automatically included in the Segment.
For more information, please review: Creating a Dynamic Segment - Rule Sets.

  5. Click Sync Preview to update the Results panel and verify that the correct count and Subscribers are included in your Segment.

  6. (Optional) Change the Segments Access Level.
This can be done by clicking the Globe or Lock icon shown to the left of the Update button. From here you will be able to choose between Global (All Administrators and All Team Members) or Restricted (All Administrators and the Team Member of your choosing). Once you have chosen who should have access to the segment, click Save.

  7. When you are finished editing the Segment's Rules, click the Update Segment button.

Note: Dynamic Segment Descriptions do not automatically update when making changes. However, these can be manually edited when you are saving your changes - feel free to type whatever you like into the Description field.

Now your segment will start updating and will be available for use in just a few moments. From the Segments table, you can check the status of your updates. If your Segment is still applying your rule changes, there is a spinning circle .

Once the segment is done updating, the circle will stop spinning.
