The Dashboards page in Insights (Beta) allows you to build custom reporting experiences tailored to your organization's needs. By combining metrics, charts, and data visualizations from across the platform into a single view, Dashboards make it easy to monitor performance, share insights, and track the metrics that matter most. This article covers the Dashboard overview page, creating and managing Dashboards, and the available Dashboard blocks and customization options.

This page shows the Dashboards within your Organization that you have access to, and you can create new Dashboards using the “Create Dashboard” button in the upper right-hand corner.

This page is broken down into three tabs:

  • My Dashboards: Dashboards you created, regardless of access level.

  • Shared with Me: Dashboards created by others that were shared with you.

  • Global: Dashboards created by others that are shared with everyone.

  • All: All Dashboards you have access to, regardless of access level or creator.

Within each tab, the tables have the following info/actions:

Details Included

Name

Name of the Dashboard.

Ellipse Options

View Dashboard: This opens the editor/detail view of the Dashboard.

Edit Info: This opens a modal where you can rename or update the description of the Dashboard.

Manage Access: This opens a modal where you can change the access level of the Dashboard.

Delete: This allows you to completely remove the Dashboard from your Organization.

Description

Description given to the Dashboard.

Creator

Creator of the Dashboard.

Last Updated

The last time pieces of the Dashboard were updated and by who - name/description change, adding/removing blocks, and moving/resizing blocks.

Access Level

Restricted/Global - you can click this to see/change who has access.

Date Created

Creation date of the Dashboard.

Dashboard Creation

Getting Started is simple. After clicking the Create Dashboard button and giving it a name, you'll be brought to your Dashboard Editor.

Click +New Block to bring up the Block selection menu. For more information about the Blocks available, see Dashboard Blocks below.

Add a Dashboard Block

Blocks are broken into three tabs: All, Blasts, and Content. You can also search for Blocks by name.

When you're ready to add a Block, click Customize.

Customize Your Dashboard Block

Every Block has customization options, most commonly Time Period, Description, and +Filters. Filters vary depending on the if the Block Data is based on Content, Blast, or Audience data. For more information, please review: Filtering Your Insights.

Click Add to Dashboard to save your settings.

Edit Your Dashboard

Now that you've added a Block or two, several options are available.

Please note: Dashboards are auto-saved, so you don't need to worry about saving your work. Save states are not recorded, so changes to the Dashboard are saved immediately.

⋮ Ellipse Options

Blocks that have already been placed have several options available in the ⋮ Ellipse menu.

  • Edit: Edit the Description and Filters.

  • Duplicate: Create a Duplicate of the Block in your Dashboard.

  • Download PNG: Download as a .PNG Image file (Available for Graph Blocks).

  • Delete: Permanently Remove the Element.

Some Table based Blocks will also offer additional options include:

  • Search: Type into the field to Search (Not Saved In Dashboard).

  • View All: View an expanded version of the table. Search and Export options may be available in these views.

Resize

Some Blocks are automatically added as squares and others as a wider rectangle. Blocks that are square are automatically added side by side, while wider Blocks are given their own row.

Click to expand the Block width.

Clickto shrink the Block width.

Move

You can move Blocks to a new row or make sure Blocks are side by side

When you cursor hovers over a Dashboard Block, the Move option will appear in the center top of the block.

Click and holdto drag the Block.

Cerkl Pro-tip: While holding the Block, you can use your mouse scroll wheel to move up or down the Dashboard. It may help to use your browser zoom options to see more of the Dashboard space when moving.


Manage Access

When creating your Dashboard, it is first set as Restricted by Default. Restricted Dashboards include access and edit permission for the Creator and All Organization Administrators, as well as any other invited Team Members.

When set to Global, all Team Members with View Insights permissions can access the Dashboard.

You can adjust this setting from the Dashboard Editor by clicking the Manage Access button in the top right, as well as from the Dashboard table in the ⋮ Ellipse menu options.

Please note: Anyone with access to your Dashboard can make changes.

Note: Heatmap type data is only available for the previous 90 days. Display is based on your web browser time zone.

Active Users By Channel
