When you want your Subscribers to participate in an event you're hosting or to donate money to a cause you can notify them by “Creating A Need”. A Need is essentially a Story but has an area for you to specify what you need and the quantity you need, along with the date it is needed by. This will be sent out to your Subscribers in their Newsletter and in other places where they can access their Content just like the rest of your Stories.
To Create A Need go to Content > Click on the blue Create A Need icon in the left hand menu. The first two things you will fill out is the quantity of whatever you need and the date you need it by.
In the Quantity Needed box you will include the title of what you need and the number needed. This can be anything: volunteers, donation money, cookies baked etc.
Next you will either enter the date it is needed by or you will use the calendar icon to select the date it is needed by. Please Note: The need by date will also be used as this Story's expiration date, because there is no need for this Story to be published after it.
