Custom Dashboards are a great way to track and share your engagement progress. Here's how to make a new one.

To get started, head over to Insights and look for the New Dashboard menu item. On the screen that pops up, name your Custom Dashboard. Don't be worried if you aren't sure what your dashboard is for - you can change it later.

Add Components

With your name in place, it's time to add components. Components are dashboard sections. The section that pops up at the bottom is chocked full of components that you can use to measure your comms success. Click any of them to add them to your dashboard.

Pro Tip: If you aren't on a specific measurement mission, click around and add a bunch of components so you can see how they work. It might unlock a great insight for you.

Drag & Design

As you click to add, Broadcast will attempt to lay out a Custom Dashboard page for you. But you aren't limited to that layout! Hover on any component and a stretch arrow will show up in the lower right corner. Use this arrow to adjust the height or width. Once a component is on the page, you can also move it around.

Cut the Data

In the upper right hand corner of each component are three options: date, delete and filter. You will need to adjust the date filter for each component if you have a specific date range in mind. With delete, you can remove the component from this view, and filter has options for cutting the reported-on audience down.

Now you have a great Custom Dashboard to help you tell your data story.
