You’re almost ready to start reaching subscribers with Broadcast! You can already use the Broadcast Blast Editor to create beautiful emails and Audience Manager to segment and target your employee comms. The final step is to complete your technical configuration.
To enable your full sending power, you'll need assistance from your Information Technology or Security department. Their tasks shouldn’t take more than an hour.
Below you’ll find three email examples that you can use to help share the requested tasks and information. You have to complete CNAME verification before you can access domains, so here is the order of operations for completing these tasks:
You | Generate your CNAME records in Settings > Configurations > Security.
Send the records to your IT team. See IT Message Sample 1 below. |
IT | Add CNAME records to your DNS. |
You | Run the CNAME verification check in Settings > Configurations > Security.
On the Security tab, copy the Sending IP Addresses.
Send the Sending IPs and Domains to IT. See IT Message Sample 2 below. |
IT | Allow-list the Sending IPs and Domains. |
That’s it! Remember: Your account is limited to sending 1,000 emails per day until your CNAME records are added internally then verified within Broadcast.
IT Message Sample 1: DNS Sender Authentication
Hi Team,
Our Employee Communications team is working on setting up Cerkl Broadcast, a free SaaS tool for internal email communication featuring a drag-and-drop email builder plus full email analytics. Broadcast is used by organizations globally to reach over 5 million employees. Yes, they are SOC2, Type 2 certified (more on their security credentials here).
To ensure the platform can securely send communications on behalf of [yourorganization], we need to add three CNAME records to our DNS. These records are essential for verifying our domain and maintaining high deliverability for our internal messages.
Could you please add the following records at your earliest convenience?
New CNAME Records:
Type | Host | Points To (Value Data) |
CNAME | [Insert Host 1] | [Insert Value 1] |
CNAME | [Insert Host 2] | [Insert Value 2] |
CNAME | [Insert Host 3] | [Insert Value 3] |
Once these are live, please let me know so I can verify the connection on my end.
Thanks so much for your help in keeping our systems running smoothly!
Best,
[Your name]
IT Message Sample 2: Allow-list Sending IPs and Domains
Thank you for adding the CNAME records to our DNS. I verified them in Broadcast, so we’re all set with that part of the configuration. Next, we need to add these items to our allow list:
Sending IPs, so our servers recognize and trust Broadcast emails
Image Domains, so we can automatically download images and measure analytics
Sending IPs |
[Copy in Settings > Configurations > Security and Insert here] |
[Copy in Settings > Configurations > Security and Insert here] |
Image Domains |
[Copy in Settings > Configurations > Security and Insert here] |

This is the last step for us to be able to use Broadcast for internal comms. Let me know if you need anything else from me, and thank you again for your support during setup.
Best,
