With the Blast Autosave feature, you can decide if Broadcast will run automatic saves on your Blasts after certain actions are made. This will help save critical work in case you're interrupted.
Enable or Disable Autosave
Autosave is turned on for Blasts by default. You can toggle the Autosave feature on or off from the Ellipsis menu button in the top right corner of the Blast editor.
We do not currently support cooperative editing between Team Members. If multiple people are editing a Blast at the same time, only the most recent changes to a Blast will be saved.
If you are coordinating work with another Team Member at the same time or if you wish to have the Blast open in multiple tabs, we recommend that you disable Autosave.
When Autosave is enabled, the Autosave icon and save information will be displayed under the Blast Title.
A new Blast will present instructions on what needs to be added before Autosaving can begin. If a Blast has already been saved, the Last Saved date and time will be displayed.
What is Needed to Autosave?
Before Autosave can work its magic, the setting needs to be toggled on, your Blast must have a Name, and at least one Element must be added.
When editing a Blast that does not have a Name set, you will see a reminder notification that your changes are not being saved in the lower left corner. Don't worry though. If you've already added Elements, you can add the Blast name, then click Save as Draft or Keep on any Element editor to trigger your first save.
What Triggers an Autosave?
When Autosave is on, a save will be triggered if something has changed since your last save and then you:
Click the Keep button when editing an Element.
Delete an Element.
Save as Draft is still available to use anytime you make changes that don't trigger Autosave.
The option to undo is not available after performing a save, including Autosaving with Keep or Delete Element actions. If you are concerned that a change may be made with these actions that you wish to undo, we recommend disabling Autosave and using the Save as Draft button to choose when you're ready to save.
When Autosave is triggered, you'll see a Saving... notifier under your Blast name. Once complete, it will update to the Last Saved date and time. While Autosave is running, the Save as Draft option will be disabled.
Miscellaneous Cases
Duplicated Blasts
When duplicating a Blast, the Autosave setting from the original Blast will be used by default.
Create with Template
Autosave is enabled when creating a Blast using a Template.
Scheduled Blasts
Autosave is disabled when opening a Scheduled Blast to prevent your Blast from being converted to a Draft. If you want to turn Autosave on, you first need to manually save the Blast as a Draft, which will remove it from its current Scheduled Send.
HTML Upload
Autosave is not available for Blasts created using HTML.
