The Image Gallery can have as many images as your organization needs, and adding images is as simple as clicking a button or two.

For more information, please review: Adding Images to the Image Gallery

Browsing the Gallery

The Image Gallery is available across all of Broadcast. To open the Image Gallery, Click the Image Gallery icon in the top right corner.

There are several ways to find the image you're looking for when browsing your team's Image Gallery.

Search

Image Name or Alt-Text

Sort

  • Date Uploaded

  • Name (Alphabetical)

  • Last Used

Filter

Uploaded by

Narrow down image results based on which Team Member uploaded it to the gallery. If you have uploaded images to the Image Gallery, your name will always be at the top and marked as (you) so you can easily filter to just your images.

Image Actions

Image actions can be accessed directly from your Image Gallery list by selecting the

โ‹ฎ ellipsis button that appears when hovering your cursor over the image. These options are also available when reviewing the Image Details.

Administrators have full permissions to the options below. Non-admin Team Members will not have the Crop and Remove actions for images that the individual did not upload.

Crop

Will allow you to crop the image to another set of dimensions. For more information, please review How to Use the Image Cropper.

Duplicate

Generates an exact copy of your image with "COPY" added to the end of the name. Before duplicating is complete, you'll be presented with the options to input a new Image Name and Alt-Text. Select Confirm to save your duplicate.

View Details

Allows you to review Image Details and Properties and to update the Image Name and Alt-Text for an image.

Remove

Allows you to delete an image. Before removing the image from your Image Gallery, you will be prompted with a warning and an opportunity to cancel or confirm: "Removing an image from the gallery will not affect anywhere it is already in use, but this action cannot be undone."

Image Details

Image Name

The filename or given name of the image. By default, the filename of the image at the time of upload will be used. It can be used for search and sorting. The Image Name is not visible to readers.

Duplicate Image Names are not currently allowed. When attempting to add an image with a filename that matches an Image Name in your gallery, you will receive an error. You can either change the name of the file being added or change the matching Image Name of the image in your gallery.

Alt-Text

Descriptive text that can be used to provide additional context, enhance search options, and adhere image descriptions to ADA compliance.

By default, the filename of the image at the time of upload will be used.

Pro-Cerkler Tip: Give your images searchable Alt-Text to create your own search filters.

For example: Reserve the term "Signature" in the Alt-Text for signature images to make results of searches more specific to your needs.
