Broadcast + Slack integration is currently in Beta. Some features are in progress.

Please share any feedback via Chat Support, Email, or by discussing a plan with your account manager.

Being able to Send Content to Slack is another great way to connect with teams through the channels they most often engage with.

When your Content is published and sent to Slack, your post will display in the Slack channel like any other message. It will include the Story Image, Title, and Summary.

You'll also see the Broadcast instance as poster of the content, the time it was posted to the Channel, the size of the attached image, and a Read More button which allows your users to engage with the content.

Events even include date and time in the Slack post! ๐Ÿ“†

To view Broadcast content from Slack, simply click the Read More button.

Broadcast utilizes a Read More button so that Content privacy settings apply within Slack, as well as to register analytics to be used in Insights today in Content overview and in future improvements to Insights.

After clicking the Read More button, users will receive a message that is only visible to them in the channel that includes a secure link to the story within an Open button. Clicking Open will log the user in and open the Content in the user's default web browser.

If Content is restricted and a user does not have access to open, they will receive a message only visible to them notifying them "Weโ€™re sorry, but you do not have access to read this story".

Reactions and Comments

Slack users can leave reactions and comments to stories right in Slack! These won't report back to Broadcast Insights; however, reviewing the story in the Channel is a great way to engage with teams and get an idea of their interest levels in specific content.

Insights

Currently, in-depth Insights for Slack engagement are not available. Insights for Content will record impressions from Slack and present them in the total; however, there is not a method to call out Slack impressions specifically at this time.
