When editing a Blast Element, options are available in the Element and Layout tabs. In this article, we cover the Layout tab options.

Below, Multiple Elements are grouped because many layout options overlap for each Element. We'll start with the layout options that all Elements have then move to more specific Element layout options.

Container Style

All Elements inside the Blast Editor have a Container section.

The Element’s container is the box highlighted in blue when you click on the Element. In the Container section of the Layout tab, you can change the following things.

Element Alignment

Align Elements vertically within the container.

  • Top: Move your content to the top, center, or bottom of the container.

  • Center: Move your content to the left, center, or right side of the container.

Background Color

Set the container’s background color. You can use the color picker to select one of your organization's default colors or input a hex code for a color of your choice.

Top/Bottom

Set the top and bottom margins of the container by using the plus and minus buttons.

Left/Right

Set the left and right margins of the container by using the plus and minus buttons.

Several Elements have an Image Options section in the Layout tab: Image, Video, Signature, Image + Text, Image + Button, and Image + Text + Button.

In the Image Options section, you can change the following options.

Use the slider to select how wide you would like your image to be.

Full width on mobile

Keep your images at full width when viewed on a mobile device, even if the image width inside the Blast Editor is set to a percentage less than that.

Image Alignment

Align images horizontally within the container.

Button Options

Several Elements have a Button Style section in the Layout tab: Button, Text + Button, Image + Button, and Image + Text + Button.

In the Button Options section, you can change the following options.

Top/Bottom

Control the height of the button using the plus and minus buttons.

Left/Right

Rounded Corners

Choose how round the corners of your button are in your Blast. Use the plus and minus buttons to determine if you want the corners to be square or rounded.

Please Note: Rounded corners on buttons will not show up inside of Outlook. This is due to how they interpret the HTML code inside of emails and how they style their text. To learn more about issues you might have with Outlook, check out Common Outlook Issues.

Button Alignment

Allows you to align buttons horizontally within the container.

Text Options

In the Layout tab of the Signature element, you have the following options.

Text Options

Change the color of the text used in the signature by using the color picker to select one of your default organizational colors or you can input a hex code for a color of your choice.

Image Options

Adjust the signature image's width and alignment within the Signature element.

Container Options

Adjust the entire element's alignment, background color, top/bottom, and left/right orientation within the container.
