Domain Sender Authentication verifies that an email is being sent from a permitted sender. It is an important step to allowing Cerkl Broadcast to send emails on your behalf so that they are not automatically filtered to Spam or Junk folders.
โ
Without Sender Authentication completed, Foundations accounts are only able to send up to 1,000 emails per day.
In order to set up Sender Authentication, your DNS records must be updated with the below information. Please partner or share the information with your organization's primary technical contact to implement these configurations.
Generate CNAME Records
To get started, go to Settings > Configurations > Security.
Common methods of Sender Authentication use SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. With Cerkl Broadcast, SPF and DKIM records are automatically applied by adding our uniquely generated CNAME records to your DNS.
If CNAME records are not yet listed under Authenticate Sending Domain, click Generate CNAME Records.
Domain
Input the primary domain you will be sending from
Subdomain (optional)
If you're planning to send from a subdomain instead of the primary (e.g. comms.cerkl.com), input the subdomain here.
DKIM Selector (optional)
Unless specifically requested by your technical contact, we recommend keeping this to the default string.
Once CNAME Records are available, Copy your CNAME Records to share with your network security administrator so they can be added to your DNS.
Verify Records
After your network security team have confirmed the records are added, return to Settings > Configurations > Security to Verify.
Upon successful verification, your domain will be authenticated and all Blasts sent with Broadcast will send as authorized on behalf of your domain! ๐
