We at Cerkl consider your audience's privacy and security a priority, so when an unsubscribe occurs we take all efforts to ensure these are maintained. For information about Cerkl's policies, please review: Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Audience members may be unsubscribed by their own selection, by an Organization's Team Member in Broadcast, or from an Audience integration.

When an unsubscribe is processed, all associated attribute and metadata is deleted.

All associated Insights data is also deleted.

This means that Blast or Omnichannel Insights that may have referenced the Subscriber in the past will adjust to no longer include the individual's activity. This also means, even if the Audience member is added back to your Audience in the future, we will not be able to reference past activity.

We Retain:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email address

  • Date Subscribed

  • Date Unsubscribed

  • Source of the unsubscribe request

These records are available for teams from Audience > Unsubscribes. For information about this table, please review Unsubscribes Overview.

If an Audience member is subscribed to multiple Instances, their central profile loses reference to the associated profile in the Cerkl Instance that was unsubscribed.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@cerkl.com or use the support Chat toward the bottom right-hand corner of any cerkl.com page.
