Cerkl's organizations can automatically pull in external content sources to populate their newsletters. This helps organizations save extensive amounts of time in content creation! Let professional content creators do the work while you sit back, relax, and pull in their published material.
You can add external content sources by selecting the top-left dropdown menu and going to Content Manager > Content Sources. You can add new sources and toggle the moderation setting or edit existing sources.
A key element of the content source feature is moderation. When content sources are moderated, all content from each source will be sent to the Queue to be approved or rejected. Approved content will be published to their Content Archive while rejected content will be removed from Cerkl.
So the question arises: When should organizations moderate a content source?
We suggest that organizations moderate a content source if they don't feel that all of its content would reflect their engagement goals. For example, if Cerkl added Entrepreneur.com as a source, our team would make sure that all of the content they're publishing is relevant to our audience. Of course, some may not be - so it's best to moderate that source.
You can leave an external source unmoderated if you're certain all of its content fulfills your engagement goals or is pre-screened by your organization. Another example - Cerkl doesn't need to moderate its own blog because ... well, we wrote every piece of content on it!
